Organizing Thy Bathroom

When sister-in-law came, I realized more that we need to organize our bathroom. Add some fixtures perhaps. Why you may ask. You see, without SIL, we are 5 in this home, 4 adults and 1 toddler. Each of us own a soap case, yes we do not share soaps. Ayex and mother-in-law have their own shampoo while me, hubby and father-in-law share in a bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Can you now imagine how things are placed in our bathroom? Then came SIL. When she came, another soap case and four bottles of shampoo and conditioner were added to what are currently in our bathroom. Still don’t get the picture?

I’ve already thought of organizing our bathroom and even told hubby about it already. We should get a bathroom organizer that we can mount on the wall so that all our paraphernalia can be found in just one place rather than being scattered all over the place. I already have a piece in mind but I still consulted Mr. G for some suggestions. I should have stick with the design in my mind because after checking Mr. G, I’m confused! Hahaha!

Apart from seeing various designs of different bathroom fixtures, I also stumbled upon designer radiators. I loved the designs although I’m not sure what they’re used for.

Among the designs I saw, this one attracted me the most, simple yet stylish.

Before I get a headache for looking at these classy bathroom pieces, I checked Mr. G for more information about these designer radiators.

Designer Radiators

They look like objects in a modern art gallery or perhaps the set of a sci-fi film. In fact they are central heating radiators. But these are not your ordinary radiators. Welcome to the fantastic world of designer radiators. These amazing creations allow you to decorate you home in the ambiance of your choice.

Modern designer radiators are not just accessories to keep your home warm. They are products to enhance your lifestyle through their imaginative design. You can choose exactly the style that complements your home whether flat panel, tube, column or vertical you can find something that perfectly sets off the colors, lighting and furnishings of all the rooms in your house. You can select wall or floor mounted units for perfect customization. And don’t forget they keep you warm and cozy too.

This blend of beauty and functionality is reflected in the choice of materials. No longer as you restricted to cast iron. A popular choice for the modern home is aluminum. Not only is aluminum a highly efficient heat emitter, but its finish can also harmonize with any surroundings.

Do we have this here in the Philippines? I think I want one for our bathroom!

Nokia 3600 Slide

NokiaThis is one of the latest projects I finished being a personal shopper. My client is based in Samar and is my mom’s officemate. I really had a hard time coordinating and finishing this project because:

  1. The client is far and everything is text-based.
  2. The above unit is rare. As of this writing, I can’t find a similar unit for myself.

Yep, after purchasing this unit for the client, I tested it at home to make sure it works. I also checked if the accessories are complete. And as I test the phone, I realized it is something that can work for me, minus the 3G capability.

Nokia 3600 slide This Nokia 3600 slide comes with 3.2MP camera, USB connection, bluetooth, radio and a card slot. I was able to get for a free 1gb memory card from my supplier because the package does not include one. Apart from that, I also bought a generic pouch as a freebie. Never mind the headache it caused me to get this unit as long as I make the client happy.

My mom is probably back in Samar as I type this. She flew back this afternoon after a week of seminar at Island Cove, Cavite. She’s carrying this unit (and another one) and I hope to get the client’s feedback about it within the week. I hope to have another satisfied client.

Permanently Disable Office 2003 Clipboard

It’s been a while since I posted a techie entry so here’s one. I’m so glad I did it!

Do you know that annoying window that opens whenever you press Ctrl+C twice? Yes, that is the Office clipboard. All Office applications have that and it’s pretty annoying. I work with Excel sheets a lot in my job and I use the copy command often. I tried hiding the clipboard through its Options but it keeps on returning after I restart my machine.

Today I was determined to get this annoying window out of my life for good.

WARNING: The procedure below includes modification of your computer’s registry. Serious problems may occur when you modify it incorrectly. Make sure to back it up before you do any changes. For the complete procedure, check this MS article.

  1. Go to Start > Run. In the pop-up window, type regedit.
  2. Once your registry is open, navigate to this section: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Office > 11.0 > Common > General.
  3. Look for the AcbControl key in the right panel of the window and double-click it.
  4. In the window that opens, change the value data from 0 to 1 and then select Decimal. Click OK.

If you do not see the AcbControl key, do the following first before performing steps 3 and 4.

  1. Right-click anywhere on the right panel of your registry window and select New > DWORD Value.
  2. Give it a name of AcbControl and press Enter in your keyboard.
  3. Double-click AcbControl.
  4. In the window that opens, change the value data from 0 to 1 and then select Decimal. Click OK.

Now, using any MS Office Application, copy and paste stuff and you should not see the clipboard ever again.
