On PNoy’s SONA

Er, actually it is about the reaction of regular Filipino like me that I want to write about.

So as expected, the SONA was all over the news last night. I did not watch it because I was busy looking aftr my girls as they sleep plus I already knew that PNoy still has a lot to accomplish and a year is not enough to judge his capabilities.

As I watched the evening news, I cannot stop myself from getting irritated to those who said they are still poor just like in the previous administration. Haller! Even if we change presidents a million times, if we do not work to have better lives, if we do not make wise decisions, NOTHING will happen! So please stop blaming other people, like the president, for your life’s state. And stop judging the person as incompetent and incapable because he cannot bring this country to the map alone!

There, end of rant. Back to work for a better life.

Running and Biking

In my opinion, these two are very popular these days. Running is very accessible to almost everyone and is really a very good cardio exercise. Biking on the other hand is also a very good cardio exercise but needs more investments. Despite that fact, many people are into it. Is it because they are reducing their carbon foot print as their way of helping save Mother Earth thus biking instead of bringing a car? I do not know but I like the idea.

I say they are popular because when out on the road, I always see cars whith thule bike racks holding one or more bicycles at times. Online, I often see news about a new upcoming fun run almost everyday.

My hubby is into both but for leisure and health purposes only. I? Maybe I would do running but not biking.

Chedeng, Please Go Away NOW

I just read in http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/ that PAG-ASA has upgraded Chedeng (international codename Songda) into a typhoon in their 11 AM press conference today. Chedeng has maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour and is currently situated at 350 kilometers east of Catarman, Northern Samar.

My mom is currently residing in Lawaan, Eastern Samar. While she said they are far from where Chedeng is now, we cannot stop ourselves from worrying.

Also, we have a company outing this weekend at Montemar, Bataan. This is my last outing with this company and teammates so I really joined even if it means leaving the girls at home for 1.5 days. It is the first time in three or four years that we are having an overnight outing due to recession. I am quite excited for this outing but I am worried that Chedeng might ruin things. I have made a list of things a will be bringing and even checked out some sterling silver pandora for my accessories.

I really hope Chedeng will not change her course and exit Philippines’ area of responsibility the soonest.
