Where Did My Food Go?

And we are back from our Tagaytay trip! It was the best way to reward Alex for all the study time we did for her exams last week. It was freezing cold in Tagaytay. The girls enjoyed our stay and they were able to bond really well with their Tito Kevin. I will post more details about the trip soon, with pictures, of course. And yes, I tried the zip line and the girls rode the cable car! Cool, right?

Anyway.

It has become my habit to check my weight using our digital weighing scale every now and then. This morning was the first time that I checked my weight after the holidays. And what do you know, the numbers looked as if they were lying! But I tried like five times and I get the same numbers! I tried again before making this post and the numbers I got were within the normal range I get before the holidays. I am 111.8Lbs when I just woke up in the morning. When I weigh in after eating lunch, I get to 112.4Lbs. When I am so full, I get 114. My range before the holidays is 111-116 and I am still within that range now, after all the merriment and eating I did last Christmas and New Year! What happened to all the food I ate?

I honestly do not know. I just like to think that my body’s metabolism got a lot better that I am now able to burn more calories. Or that my body got so tired from all the malling and window shopping we did during the holidays that it burned right away whatever I take in. Or maybe, all the stressful thoughts I had during the holidays (being the host can be really toxic, specially if you have some OC tendencies), prevented the calories from entering my body, thus the no weight gain. Or maybe all of the above!

Whatever the science behind my no weight gain is, I am thankful. That means I do not have to stress myself how to shed of excess pounds again. I can simply focus my energy on matters that need my attention at this time, my body and weight excluded. I just have to continue following the 50-25-25 scheme like a low carb diet plan. That means 50% of your plate should have fruits and vegetables, 25% good source of protein and 25% good source of carbohydrates. Try it too and you will see a big change in yourself.

Happy Weekend!!!

No, I am not losing count of the day. I know it is only Thursday today. So why am I greeting all of you a happy weekend already when we still have a day worth of work tomorrow, you may ask? Because we are having our weekend a day earlier and we will be going out of town! Woot woot!!!!

I told you in my first post of the year that my cousin will be coming over for just two weeks. He is already here. His vacation is almost over already and we have not had the time to really show him around. He spent his days going to the mall with his long-distance girlfriend. So now, it is our turn to bond with him.

We will be having our weekend in Tagaytay. Thankfully, Alex is now fever-free, after two days of having slight fever. (When it is time for our review for her exams, she becomes feverish. Weird eh?) Else, I would really beg off from the trip because Alex’s health condition is more important. So yeah, Thank You, Lord!!!! The girls are so looking forward to this trip. Maxyn keeps saying yes when asked if she wants to ride a horse. She even explains to Ate Alex that it is a horse, not a carabao as if her sister does not know the animals. Smart kids!

On the other hand, we, the adults, are looking forward to that cable car and zip line ride. I have ridden a cable car back then but the zip line, this will be my first time. I am so excited and nervous at the same time! Actually, a psychic once told me to conquer my fears. I am not really afraid of heights but I always fear that falling feeling. Maybe this is what she meant.

Oh, I got to go now! I need to pick up Alex in a bit and our clothes are not yet packed! We are heading to my mom’s place tonight for tomorrow’s trip and we are not yet ready! Happy weekend, everyone!!!!!

Crunch Time Again

And just as what I expected, it is PERIODICAL EXAMS time after the holidays.

Hindi pa nga ako nakakahinga from all the pagod kakagala nung holidays, eto at may bisita na naman kami. I really want to spend time pa naman with this cousin kasi two weeks lang siya dito. Promise Kevin, we will make the most of what time we have. Istorbo kasi masyado ang exams!

So there, I will be missing in action again. Bear with me. I have tons of posts in my and please pray for me that I will not forget them.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
