3 decades. I am blessed to be alive this long and to have what I have right now. It is not many, but I believe I have enough. Every other thing comes as bonus.
So how did I spend my birthday, you ask.
It was the week after exams and I was soooo thankful for that. After a very grueling week, finally, chillax naman. And so I thought.
M had fever two days prior to my birthday. Biglaan lang. After ko maging tutor and labandera, nurse naman ang peg ko. The work moms do. I am so amazed how we can do all those things and thankful at the same time because I am able to get pass it. On my birthday, there was an event at A’s school and I had to accompany her. I tagged along M, who was already fever-free that time, so we all can go to the doctor right after A’s school activity. So yeah, I spent the morning of my birthday with the girls, at school and at the doctor.
I did not want a grand celebration. All I wanted was to eat crabs and shrimps. Actually shrimps lang pala ang gusto ko at lobsters. Ayoko na ng crabs kasi mejo hassle na for me. (Nakakakain lang ng lobsters, split na with crabs. Hahaha). So after the hospital visit, the husband, kahit puyat, drove to the nearby market and bought shrimps and crabs. We cooked butter-ginger shrimps and sweet-chili crabs. There was pancit care of MIL and FIL. Then there was Blue Bunny Mint Bon-bon ice cream, which I had to put extra chocolate chip morsels kasi ang gusto ko talagang ice cream ay yung may nangunguya at nakakagat.
M kept asking about the cake. She wanted to blow a candle since that is what we do on birthdays right? I did not have a cake because we still have plenty of banana cupcakes in the freezer. But we were already lazy to prepare it. Until the other day, she was still asking about it. Hahaha!
I got tons of greetings over at FB. Thank you to all who remembered.
And then we were back to the regular grind the next day.
I am blessed and I pray that I can keep on sharing the blessings I have.
