It is but natural for woman to really dress their best in every party they go to. Of course, though some women seem to not care about the peoples’ impression and comments on their looks, deep down inside no one wants to look like an ugly duck and duckling. Most of the women want to attract their men or draw attention towards them and annoy other women or make envious.
Dresses are the defining characteristic of any woman. We are what we’re wearing as what they say because we dress to express ourselves. But, even if this is true in some ways, it is still important to dress accordingly to fit the function and occasion we’re attending or else we may end up being overly dressed or underdressed.
Choosing a dress for special occasions really needs thorough thinking. Aside from thinking about the type of event you’re attending, there are many factors which need to be taken into consideration. You need to know the level of formality and the location and time of the event before you can start getting yourself an outfit to wear. For very formal event, a floor-length gown would be most appropriate. For a semi-formal party, shorter dresses would best fit in. In events which are least formal, a suit consisting of a blouse and jacket matched with a skirt or trousers would be good.
Of course, you should check your budget for the dress, and then choose a dress suitable for the occasion or the dress code set up for it. Make sure to choose a dress of your own style or you might end up feeling awkward and uncomfortable. Consider a design that enhances your best features such as your height, body type, color, figure, bust, bottom, neck, arms and face, etc. Make sure your dress’ color suits you and the occasion for there are some colors that are not suitable for certain events so it is advisable to use neutral colors. Lastly, don’t forget to adorn yourself with accessories that best compliment your dress because a dress is not complete without it.
