No Helper Chronicles: Night 3

I am happy to tell all of you that things went smoother today. I had a hard time putting the two girls to sleep but there was no crying and fighting this time. What an achievement!

I had to be super mom during the day though. Hubby woke up late and since it is not my thing to wake up sleeping people, I let him be. I ended up bathing the two girls at the same time. As a side note, hubby was so happy when Maxyn kept on waving goodbye to them with matching flying kisses as they leave us for school and work. Maxyn gave hubby two pecks on the lips, which he rarely receives from Max. Hahaha!

Maxyn did not sleep well again in the afternoon. I thought she was already in dreamland so I took our electric fan outside and cleaned it. I was just half way through when I heard her cry. Despite rocking her hammock for almost an hour, she never went back to sleep. So I took her outside with me. She followed the cats and tried to touch them as I finish cleaning the electric fan. Just when I was done, I smelled something stinky. So we went to the bathroom and cleaned up. Maxyn played with water again so I decided that we just bathe together. Hahaha!

When Ayex arrived, I was putting Maxyn to sleep. She kept on going in our room asking for things, disturbing Maxyn’s sleepiness. Finally, Maxyn fell asleep and I was surprised to see that Ayex is already sleeping too. Fortunately, we all woke up at 7 PM for dinner.

By 9 PM, the girls and I are all ready for bedtime. Ayex kept on asking to be tapped and Maxyn kept on feeding and playing then feeding again. It took me an hour to finally send them to lala-land. It left me wondering if I like that better than having Ayex sleep when she is tired but occasionally wakes up crying. What do you think?
