Chocolate Heaven by Red Ribbon

Chocolate Heaven by Red Ribbon
I see a billboard of this cake almost everyday as we exit White Plains Avenue going to EDSA. I never craved for sweets in my 5 months of being pregnant. In fact, I avoided sweets. I wanted food to be sour, spicy and salty. Not until last week. With Valentine’s day just around the corner, I told hubby I want that cake. I must say, if it wasn’t for the billboard, I would have not thought of buying this Chocolate Heaven cake because I wouldn’t know it exists.

February 13, we head to Las Piñas for our usual visit. It was also time for my monthly check-up with my OB. I promised the little girl that we will bring her to the mall to play after my check-up. I thought it was also the perfect time to buy the cake so all of us with sweet-tooth can feast on it.

Unfortunately, the Red Ribbon branch at SM SouthMall ran out of stocks. That’s not really a surprise given that the next day is already Valentine’s day. I was just hopeful that they were able to foresee the sudden rise of demand for cakes.

So V-day passed by and we’re back to QC. Monday night, I saw the billboard again and told hubby I still want that cake. After my waxing session at Lay Bare Waxing Salon, we head to the Red Ribbon branch at Congressional Avenue.

I felt giddy the moment I saw the cake in their display from the outside of the store. The place was quite busy when we came in so I asked for someone’s help immediately and ordered the cake before everything can be sold out. Gladly, they have loads of stocks in their fridge. I was took home a large Chocolate Heaven cake. I opted for this one because the price of PhP560 seemed appropriate for its size unlike the small one which costs PhP350+. I love maximizing the value of my money.

Chocolate Heaven stayed true to its name having 4 different kinds of chocolate in it to enjoy. It has chocolate curls, chocolate icing, chocolate mousse and brownies. I never tasted Red Ribbon cakes this good before. I can’t even describe the feeling when I eat it. Good job to the one who created this cake!

As of this writing I still haven’t finished the slices I brought here at the office yesterday. I wonder if the people at home remembered today that they still have a cake in the fridge. They seem to forgot about it yesterday as it was still the way I left it last Monday evening.

I just based my hunch on your cravings. Hehe. I'm not saying I'm right though. Sabi kasi nila if you crave for sweet foods, then it will be a boy. Otherwise, it will be a girl. You said you're not that much into sweets, right? Who knows, I may be wrong. 🙂

    Lots of love,

You're one great cake-lover, Golden! I can never finish a small cake by myself. Hehehe.

I haven't tried the White Forest cake either as I didn't hear any positive comments from my family about it last Christmas. This one though is a really must try. If I'm not worrying about sore throat, I could have eaten it all day until it's all up.

You really think Ayex will have a baby sister? We don't know yet as I refuse I have an ultrasound. Me still wishes for a bouncy baby boy. But if it's a girl, I'm sure she'll be a wonderful angel too like her Ate. 🙂

    Hi Ems,

Looks like you're busy lately, eh? We had White Chocolate cake last Christmas but I didn't try it. My family wasn't satisfied and said the cake was bland.

If I get a chance, I will try it so I can review it myself.

Yum! I want to try this too. This makes me remember that I haven't tasted their white forest yet. Tsk-tsk. I love cakes! I can eat a small cake all by myself (I ain't kidding!). Hubby knows about this so last V-day, instead of buying me flowers, Hubby bought me a small cake from Goldilocks.

I think big-sister-to-be Ayex will have a baby sister. 🙂

    Lots of love,
