Making Space

I just closed a deal. A new toy for mommy and daddy will be arriving before Christmas, which is our gift to ourselves. Curious now?

I bought a 35L electric convection oven. Hubby and I loves to experiment in the kitchen and I am sure, we make more bonding moments with this new toy.

Our problem now is space. I still do not know where we will put it. I think a need a rack. No, not that kind of ski racks. More of a cabinet type. If only we can build a hanging cabinet for it and the microwave oven.

Richwell Club The Christmas Kids Craze Schedule

Among many other growing up behaviors I am faced now with Ayex is her bili-mo-ko (buy me) attitude. I guess it is her age and it is what she sees at school.

Just last week, while waiting at the ballet school, I told the other moms that Ayex is into Barbie now. No, not the dolls, but the accessories. The bags, clothes, and the like. I want to give her what she is asking for but the practical mom in me does not want to give in. Hindi maatim ng puso ko na bumili ng PhP500+ worth na 1 piece of Barbie clothing. So I said, I will just save and save and save so that when the Richwell Kids Craze sale is here, we can buy all the Barbie stuff she wants. I told the moms about how great this sale is. I told them to bring along someone who can line up while they get their stash because lines at the cashier are really really long! I told them that it is best to come on the first few days because sometimes, they ran out of stocks. And I also told them to bring loads of cash because they do not accept credit card payments. And lo, just the other night, I saw fellow mom, Peh, post the schedule of the sale!

Here is the schedule from Richwell Club’s Facebook account.

Calendar as Christmas Gifts

Every night, when the news is almost over, they would remind people how many days are left before Christmas. And my little will go, Mommy when they say 0, is it Christmas already?. And as I say yes, she would giggle out loud! I on the other hand feels a slight panic inside me because while I have created lists before, I have not started any Christmas shopping yet. I remember, this time around every year, the box where the Christmas tree is is already unearthed. We do not really mind if there is still Halloween. Haha! I should look for that box in the coming weeks, the girls will surely be delighted to have the tree up. Anyway, on with this post.

After Christmas, there will be New Year. Thus, some go with calendars for their present, specially for families. Personally, I do not mind at all getting multiple calendars as gifts. The more, the merrier as I am the type of person who likes seeing calendar in several places in the house. I hate forgetting the date, that is why. And so it got me thinking whether I should give out calendars too. If I decide now, I will be spared of having a hard time looking for calendar printing services which is what I like. I do not want to be involved in the crazy Christmas rush where everyone and everything seems to be fully booked. And we all know what happens most of the time when things are rushed – disaster.

I will also ask my family if they want to give some of their friends this kind of gift, specially my mom. She has a lot and will most probably need help with her Christmas shopping list.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
