Things to be thankful for

The past few weeks have been uber stressful for me and my team at work. But God loves us so much that he still makes each day end with a smile on our face. At least that what happened to me yesterday.

I’ve been losing my interest at my job for quite sometime already. But as a person with goals and priorities, I cannot quite my job just like that even though my morale is getting low every passing day. But as I said, God still gives me things to be thankful for.

  • Yesterday, I have a meeting that is suppose to start at 9AM. It was finalized at 3AM in the morning. I had plans of bringing Ayex to school because I felt guilty the other day when I told her that I’ll follow her at school but didn’t. After bringing her to the classroom, because she refused to be ushered to the gate only, I sneaked out of the room once the teacher took her from me. I wasn’t able to say bye to her as I really need to go to the office already to make it to the 9AM meeting.

I took a jeepney but went down somewhere else, not the usual place where I would get another ride. I thought it might be easier for me to get a cab in this area. I cannot wait that long, I will be late. A jeepney passed by and I asked if I can hitch up to the next street. The manong driver allowed me and asked me where I’m heading. I told him that I need to get a cab. On the street where I should go down, he told me to better get off to the main street where more cabs pass by. A couple of blocks away, he found a cab and hailed it for me. There are still good Samaritans now a days. Thanks to him, I was able to make it to my 9AM commitment.

  • See my new layout? I am really hesitant to use a new template so I have been working on my template since Tuesday. I’m glad that I was able to achieve my desired result although looking at it now using our laptop, I think something still needs to be worked on. Still, when I view it using a 1024 x 768 resolution, everything is perfect!

How about you, what are your latest blessings?

Recovered

Almost, but not all.

This is a follow up post to this. After two days of almost endless trying, I have somehow recovered those missing emails, partially. Thanks to my teammates who spared me some of their time as they compile the emails I need and created a PST file for me.

I have backed up the updated PST files already. They should be safe now.

Apart from retrieving some emails from my teammates, I am happy to announce that I finally bid goodbye to my old school (good thing it is still supported) Windows 2000 operating system. I’m now on XP.

I just finished importing my back up files and I’m ready for another day of work using this new machine.

By the way, our IT guys also installed Yahoo! messenger 9 to my machine. I wasn’t probably into it at home that I just realized just now, after so many months, that Yahoo! no longer allow those super customizable skins. The current skins are just SO SO! Some even look really awful! I hope developers out there create skins and more skins soon!

I did it again!

For the nth time, I have lost important files again!

Eight months worth of emails is currently somewhere in my hard drive. Both trusted restoration tools I have cannot find them.

My head is aching! I need those .pst files back!

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions.
