August is World Breastfeeding Month

I only learned about the celebration of breastfeeding month when my former colleague and nursing room buddy, Mommy Bing, told me that Mommy Matters Nursing Wear is looking for someone to model their clothes in the culminating event last year. I breastfed Ayex for three years yet I did not know about such celebrations and I thought I was informed. Hahaha!

Now, I am exclusively breastfeeding Maxyn for a year already. I am proud of myself and I owe it to my support group. Sometimes, I want to believe those who tell me that they do not have breastmilk that is why they opt for formula. But I guess even a little, I am informed, and I know that is not true.

As we celebrate the World Breastfeeding Month this August 2011, may more moms be encouraged to give the best and feed their young with natural — breastmilk. And if you have time, go and check out these activities in line with this celebration.

I breast fed my son too… I hope more moms will practice this bonding time with their children as they don’t only provide nutrients and care with them but mommies benefit as well..

    Thanks for sharing!

I breastfed my kids too! i support breastfeeding! Aw, thank you, Summer! It was a battle of the wills, especially with the little guy. I would have loved to nurse longer, but I chose to quit fighting after a year. But I am so proud of what I did! I’m also so honored that my wonderful friend shared her milk with me to keep Alex on mommy’s milk.

Hi there! I'm Nicquee and this is my little space in this world wide web. I'm a mom of two and is happily married. I started this blog as literally my online journal where I dump my emotions. Over the years, I realized that there is more to write about. Feel free to browse through and I hope you find a thing or two that is relatable to you. If that happens, give me a shout-out!
