So my previous post was inspired by the weird scene I encountered riding the bus on my way home. This time, it is due to the desperation of getting a ride home.
From hereon, I’d refer to “Novaliches-bound” buses as “my bus”.
Last Wednesday, I was waiting for a bus in front of Farmers Plaza. Me, being the typical pasaway didn’t went to the correct bus stop because I saw that there were too many people waiting for my bus. Also, none of the buses that passed by was my bus. I noticed that all my buses didn’t take the queue and all of them passed by the express lane. This made me wait for almost 30 minutes. By this time, I have convinced myself that I will not be able to get a ride if I keep on just standing there.
I decided I get my ride on the other side of Cubao. Yes, I’m referring to Aurora Blvd, the side near Baliwag. From Farmers Plaza, I took the footbridge going to Aurora. And voila! As soon as I reached the bus top, I was able to get a ride home.
Since that night, I decided that I’ll take a new route. Instead of Puregold – Gateway – Farmers Plaza, I’ll now take Mercury – Aurora Blvd. I’ll be sure to catch my bus in no time! The downside is, there’ll be less site-seeing (read: ukay-ukay).
