When I was a little kid, my concept of party is really very simple. When my parents buy me a cake and ice cream for my birthday, that is already a party for me. Then as I was growing up, the standards on what to call a party also changed. Balloons were added. Then there were hired mascots and clowns. Then magicians perform after the clowns.
When I became a young adult, there were no more partying for me. We had limited resources and so we allot our money to what matters most – our education and the food on the table. But I was cool with that. I continued to attend parties of classmates and old friends, especially those who celebrated their debut with a bang! It is really fun to attend debuts because you are allowed to party all night with someone who looks like those Texas D.J.’s playing really good music to liven up the night. Of course aside from all the dancing, there is also the flowing food and drink. Now it made me think that I should be really grateful to my parents for allowing me to attend those parties.
